The Metapraxis Ensemble (metapraxis.org.uk), is a non-profit organisation (currently a Limited by Guarantee Company, in the process of becoming a Charitable Incorporated Organisation) focusing on the research, development and presentation of experimental (contemporary) music in various settings (music venues, theatres, as well as schools and other educational institutions). As all art-related organisations, we have been seriously affected by the closure under COVID-19, thus your support would be highly appreciated!

A musical activity for each weekday of May!

The artists of the Metapraxis Ensemble (metapraxis.org.uk) are coming together to offer the following musical activities throughout May (starting on Monday 4th):

 

1. Listening challenge 

(3-5 minutes, recorded, all ages/levels)

 

2. Fix your rhythm 

(3-5 minutes, recorded percussion session, all ages/levels)

3. Tune your voice 

(3-5 minutes, recorder singing session, all ages/levels)

4. Learn your Music Theory 

(15-30minutes, live/recorded session, 3 levels – 1 for adults)

5. Make your own Music 

(15-30 minutes, live/recorded session, all ages/levels)

Also, each artist will be hosting a weekly 1-hour drop-in short sessions to discuss any thoughts or issues you might have with your practicing.

 

The programme runs for free. Donations are welocme to support the non-profit, experimental music organisation Metapraxis Ensemble,  can be made by using the next column on this page.
