Myrto Loulaki is a London based singer. She studied the recorder and flute, and joined the Greek Radio Children’s choir. At the age of twelve, she sung as a soloist with the Greek Radio Symphony Orchestra. She moved to the UK to study for a Bachelor in Music Performance at Kingston University, and a Masters in Choral Education at Roehampton University. She has sung and played as a soloist in several concerts in England, Greece and Hungary, and have won prizes in competitions. Among her major experiences are the roles of: Dido at Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas (with the Roehampton Chamber Singers at Hampton Court), and Amahl’s mother at Menotti’s Amahl (at Barnes Methodist Church). She has also made numerous performances of classical and modern works as member of the BBC Symphony Chorus, and solo performances with the Metapraxis Ensemble.
